The entrepreneurship@UBC Seed Fund is a cornerstone of the entrepreneurship@UBC initiative. A unique partnership between the BC Innovation Council, UBC alumni and the university, the Seed Fund is a for profit venture fund owned and operated by UBC for the purpose of investing in new and innovative entrepreneurial initiatives related to UBC.
Foundation capital for the fund has been provided thru donations from alumni with matching contributions from the BC Innovation Council. The Seed Fund seeks out early stage businesses that have founded by UBC students faculty, staff or recent alumni as well as new commercial initiatives based around technology or research undertaken at UBC.
