Mentor New Entrepreneurs

Many successful entrepreneurs credit their success, in part, to effective mentorship early in their careers. An integral part of the entrepreneurship@UBC initiative is the matching up of mentors with suitable student entrepreneurs.

The mentorship function threads throughout the overall entrepreneurship@UBC initiative. Students are interested in guidance from very early stages of validating an idea through preparing pitches for investment and then preparing to meet with and secure that first customer.

Mentorship Scenarios

Mentorship at entrepreneurship@UBC is unstructured in nature. We believe that the best mentor/protégé relationships evolve naturally. Therefore, entrepreneurship@UBC is not prescriptive in how mentorship occurs or what advice or support is provided. Primarily the program seeks to identify specific opportunities where mentors can provide and tangible value to UBC students, make the introduction and then the relationship flourish.

In order to do this, we need to learn a bit more about you. So, if you are interested in becoming a mentor please email us at info@entrepreneurship.ubc.ca with a bit of your background and we will be in touch!
